Union Concourse
Sixteen passenger-information faces across a concourse, driven as one canvas and readable at 40 metres.
The constraint
Semi-exposed concourse, wind-driven rain from two directions, and a maintenance team who could not close the concourse to work at height.
How it was resolved
Beacon with IP66 on both faces rather than the usual IP65-front / IP54-rear compromise, and rear service galleries designed with the structural engineer at concept stage so no panel is ever reached from the public side.
